To effectively stop smoking with out the experience of withdrawal one needs to be clear about how the 2 elements of smoking are separate .
First there is the addictive aspect of Nicotine, and Second the Habitual and psychological aspect of the habit cycle.
Most smokers believe they will suffer painful and disturbing withdrawal , this is simply not true, Nicotine , within a matter of hours, will be purged from the system . Nicotine withdrawal is so slight that most have experienced it with out even being aware of the fact that it was withdrawal. Each time you put out a cigarette before bedtime and sleep till the morning you have gone through the majority of the withdrawal . It feels like a slight , hardly noticeable hungry feeling.
The main issue relating to stopping smoking is the psychological. Fear, anxiety, frustration and so on . These are the factors that generate the emotional state that mainly keeps the smoker from not attempting to stop smoking. But what if all these could be modified, what if you were able to feel confident , happy, motivated and focused on your action to end your smoking once and for all .
